Orlando to Host Weenie Roast 2006
The International Weenie Roast Committee (IWRC) has today elected Orlando as the Host City of Weenie Roast 2006. Orlando triumphed over Gatlinburg by 6 votes to 4. This marks the second time that Weenie Roast will be hosted in the state of Florida, USA. Tampa, Florida (Gulfport) hosted Weenie Roast 2005.

IWRC Dictator, C. Tysh, phoned the Orlando 2006 Bid Committee just after the polls closed, to congratulate them on their victory. "Even the men in Orlando love weeniers." said Tysh. "I have every confidence that Orlando will host an excellent Weenie Roast." he continued.

The Dictator also thanked the other Bid Committee, Gatlinburg, for their excellent efforts and the quality of their candidature. He also hoped that their disappointment at not being elected for Weenie Roast 2006 would not discourage them from submitting future bids to host Weenie Roast.

Orlando joins Cleveland, OH (Hiram) and Tampa, FL (Gulfport), being only the 3rd city in history to host Weenie Roast.
